replied on: 11/2/2003 5:23:05 PM we may be speaking of a different person.. but i know the ONE person that is in the role os a FM.. when actually is a Female... has been such online for quite some time.. and for anyone to judge Him/her for their sexuality..or their sex in general.. be it in real or Vp..makes everyone out to be sick in the head.. the sex of a person does NOT make them who they are.. and if a Female can be a better "MAster" in vp than majority of the "MAsters" here now.. with very few exclusions... then more power to Him/Her ~*~ Life is what You make of it.. either better what you dun like.. or stop your bitchin about what you have let it become~*~ |

replied on: 11/2/2003 5:28:52 PM the sex of a person does NOT make them who they are.. we may be speakin in terms of different people.. but the one i am speakin of.. has played the part of a Master in Vp for QUITE some time now.. and YEs he'she is in Gor...and quite frankly... if SHE can play a better Master in VP than MOST of the Masters in Gor.. then more power to Her.. Role PLay is ROLE play.. and no one here is in the position to judge someone by their sex.. and for any of you to judge someone in Vp and real by their sex.. then i think you all have the problem.. not the person who is ROLE PLAYING... the person i speak of isnt harming anyone by playing the role of a male... love to know when you all were crowned GOD enough to be able to judge someone my wether they have a slit or a dick.. ~shakes head~ role play is just that.. role play ~*~ Life is what You make of it.. either better what you dun like.. or stop your bitchin about what you have let it become~*~ |

replied on: 11/2/2003 6:18:09 PM With the topic of this post being of such a sensitive, yet serious nature it is hard to know where to begin to comment on this,So I'll just dive right in. If one were to "Roleplay" a character outside of their "true gender" in a story line type senario it may be acceptable if it was limited ONLY to an ongoing story line such as in the "Roleplay" section of this board. For someone portray a role outside of their "true gender" while actually being involved in interactive roleplay could and will be considered as deceitful and dishonest by others that had been involved in active roleplay with such a person. I have seen many people come and go in the time i have spent as Gorean in VP/Halsoft. Many of the people I have seen leave have returned to assume the role of a new character. I see no problem with that as long as the character they portray is of the same gender as the person behind the monitor. If someone does this for their own sexual gratification because they are attracted to their same sex, or if they are gay, bisexual or if they have some sort of "gender issues" or whatever the case, For a Female to play the role of a male or for a Male to portray the role of a female in interactive roleplay, and for theese true facts to be kept secret or hidden is wrong,their is no possible way to put a bow on it and make it pretty,It is totally disgusting and unacceptable. It is deceitful,dishonest and intolerable and thats the bottom line. Anyone who knows for sure without a shadow of a doubt that their is a gender bender among us in our venue of Gorean roleplay should do the proper thing and expose the name of the person or persons who decieve our community in such an intolerable way. replied on: 11/2/2003 6:23:04 PM all i will say to this Venom.. is there are 3 Masters in Gor that are females in Real.. and it isnt anyones place to "out" them except for themself.. and they all have their reasons for doing as they do.. for anyone to butt into their affairs.. be it real or Vp.. is not their place.. One of the people i know.. doesnt hide it.. but none the less.. NONE of them deserve to be bashed and degraded for their sexual preferances.. or their SEX in general.. they have a reason fro what they do.. and those that no of these people.. know why they are doing this.. for anyone to judge them.. is not their place to do so..anymore than to "out" them for what they are.. they are human.. they have a heart.. they have feelings.. and that is what makes them human.. not because they are of a certain sex ~*~ Life is what You make of it.. either better what you dun like.. or stop your bitchin about what you have let it become~*~ |

replied on: 11/2/2003 7:02:14 PM I think that if a person chooses a role to play in Virtual Places Chat Gor or any other roleplay game (and that is what it is .... if we are lucky we meet some friends who are true in this Virtual Reality Chat) then they should be free to play the role they choose.... Every one wants to act like it is so real when it is roleplay.... I'm sorry but prejudice has no place on a machine or in a Virtual Chat that does not see color or sex or religion. You may meet a friend and say they are your best friend online and talk to them everyday and not know that the "best friend" you have is a mass murderer or a thief or a superstar or pop star.... You only know of a person here what they trust you to know ... If a person is a woman in real and it is her fantasy to portray a male in a world where men rule all then that is her right as she has just as much right as I or any of you do to be here. She is doing nothing wrong by playing her chosen role as long as she does what is correct by the books and rules that online gor has set forth.... Do you people think that the av you see of someone in Halsoft Chat or any Visual Chat is the real person ? Here a African can be White .... An Indian can be Hispanic...... A White can be Egyptian... A blonde can be brunette or redhead....... A Man that has a small penis can have one a foot long and get all the girls he could ever want..... I think it is sad for anyone ... expecially people who say they have so much honor playing the role they chose could and do show such discrimination to anyone .... when that person you are discriminating against is the same as you . replied on: 11/2/2003 7:10:32 PM its not discrimination, its the fact we as women are being told that we have no place in deciding on rules in gor, yet one is sitting there doing just that...albeit in the guise of a male...so is it just honest women who are prevented from making decisions?
